At PBX+, simply use your Google Voice number in conjunction with a free Gizmo account to enjoy premier business phone system hosted PBX features.
Simply route your calls on Google Voice number to our SIP address. PBX+ will greet the caller with your message and route the call depending on your configuration.

For example, you can route calls from VoIP providers such as Vonage which support SIP (Softphone account) to PBX+.

Greetings
Play different greetings to your callers based on time, day, or holiday. You can upload your audio, choose TTS (text to speech in 9 languages). If you prefer, you can even have your prompts recorded by our voice artist.
- Day and night greetings
- Configure your phone system based on time. For example, you can forward your calls to your sales team in the US during US operating hours and to your offshore center in the Philippines at other times.
You can also play a different greeting based on the time of the day.
- Weekday and weekend greetings
- Configure your business phone system or greeting based on the day of the week.
For example, you can simply choose to have the PBX+ phone system route your callers to your voicemail on weekends.
- Holiday mode greetings
- Holiday mode informs your callers of upcoming holidays your company will be observing.
A message, "Please note that our offices will be closed on account of (actual holiday name)," will be announced to the caller. You can override the prompt by adding your own audio file.
By default, the PBX+ holiday message is played one day in advance. However, you can change the "Play greeting in advance" option to play the holiday message up to three days in advance.
A default list of US holidays is provided for your convenience.

- Unlimited extensions
- Create unlimited extensions in your business phone system allowing you to scale your telephone systems as your business grows. There is absolutely no limit on extensions!
How does this work? The customer hears a message like this: "Press 1 or say 'sales.' Press 2 or say 'support.' Press 3 for our office hours and directions." You can add or change extensions at any time.
- Sub-extension trees
- PBX+ is the first host PBX company in the industry to provide you this feature. It could revolutionize the way you do business.
You can now create endless sub- extensions (trees) for each extension or sub-extension.
For example, a caller might hear this message: "Press 1 for sales, 2 for support." When the caller presses "1," PBX+ directs him or her to sub-extensions: "Press 1 for auto sales. Press 2 for car loans. Press 3 for insurance."
- Announcement extensions
- You can also set up an extension dedicated to announcing any messages that you would like your customers to hear-product commercials, auction information, and so on.
For example, a realtor might record prompts related to all available property listings on extension 49. To do this, you'd simply upload an audio or let our TTS (text to speech) play the message to your callers.
- Extension confirmation
- PBX+ offers an option for confirming your caller's voice input.
For example, if your caller says "sales," the system will confirm by saying, "transferring you to sales or just say 'cancel' to go back to the previous menu."
Voicemail
Prompt your callers to leave a voicemail when you are unreachable.
- Play a text to speech or an audio file for your voicemail
- Set up your custom messages to play before your caller is prompted to leave your voicemail. For example: "You have reached the voicemail box of ABC Sales. Please leave a message after the tone."
Use our "text to speech" tool to convert your text inputs to voice instantly, or you can make an audio wav file using any recording software and upload it.
Default voicemails are provided for your convenience.
- Receive voicemails by email
- Voicemails can be directed to any email address you specify. All voicemails are sent to your email with details such as the caller's number, the time and duration of the call, and an audio attachment for you to download and play.
- Voicemail alerts (voicemail to email, SMS, pager)
- Besides delivering voicemails by email, your PBX+ business phone system can also notify you on your pager. There's also an option to be notified by SMS (text message) on your cell phone.
- Large message storage capacity
- All voicemails are stored for a period of 30 days regardless of the number of messages.
With voicemail email notification, you can forward all of your voicemails as attachments and store them in your inbox.
- Wav attachments
- All voicemail attachments come in standard wav format playable on any media player.
- IM, email alerts
- Choose this option to be notified by instant message on Skype, Yahoo, AOL, and so forth. You'll be notified instantly of a missed call or voicemail alert.
- Play voicemail on PDAs
- You can now play PBX+ voicemails on all PDAs including Blackberry, iPhone, Windows Mobile, Palm, and others. On these devices, you can access the message directly using the link embedded in the alert.
- Transcription
- Read your voicemails by enabling transcription. Once enabled, the voicemail contents will be transcribed manually by human agents and emailed to you as text. Transcription needs to be enabled for you to use this feature, and there's an additional fee involved.
- Check messages online or by email
- You can retrieve your messages online through your PBX+ account panel or by opening your email wav attachment.

Call logs
Who called? When? Where'd the call get routed? Your PBX+ system will keep track of every call for you in easy to access call logs.
- Detailed call logs
- Using your PBX+ account panel, you can obtain a detailed report of time and duration of the call, the originating number with caller id, the call disposition, the result, and the number where the call was forwarded.
The location of the caller is also included for easy reference based on the area code.
- Auto log emailing (reporting)
- Have PBX+ send you a call log daily, weekly or monthly in easy-to-use csv format.
You can view it in any spreadsheet application such as Microsoft Excel or even open it in Notepad.
- Downloadable call log
- Download your call log in csv format based on your search criteria.
- Searchable call log
- Search your business phone system's call log by incoming caller id, type (phone/fax), result and date. You can sort the results based on time, number, duration, result and response code.
- Call graphs (extension, disposition)
- PBX+ makes it easy for you to receive a detailed report of call logs in graphical format. Graphs like the following are available:
* Total number of calls by month. * Total number of calls that have gone to voicemail. * Total number of calls which were not answered.
Plus features
Convenience is a "plus" in features like automatic, CRM-compatible call recording and calling card functionality for when you're away from your own phone.
- Call recording
- Record all conversations on your extensions without any software running on your computer.
Access the recordings online through your PBX+ account control panel. All call records are stored for 60 days.
If you have a CRM addon (such as Salesforce, Sugar, Zoho), the call records are automatically added as a note for the appropriate entity in your CRM.
- Calling card
- Use your PBX Plus account as a calling card to make calls when you're away from your own phone. Setting up a pin number to prevent misuse is optional.
Auto Attendant
Our Auto Attendant just does what it implies. It handles the call from the moment the phone rings and connects the caller to you in a strictly professional manner from beginning to end.
- Virtual receptionist
- Business callers like to have a live person pick up the phone, greet them and connect their calls to the right person. Hiring a receptionist would cost you in wages, benefits, employment taxes, and more. Let our virtual receptionist work for you and your customers without the expense of a full-time employee.
PBX+ will answer your caller with your business name ("Thanks for calling your-business-name. You can say 'sales' or press 1, etc.").
- Speech driven IVR (Just say it!)
- Remembering extension numbers may be tough for your customers.
With speech driven IVR (interactive voice response), callers can speak their options rather than use touch tone phone keypads. For example, the system prompts callers to press 1 for sales or just say, "sales."
When the caller says "sales," the PBX+ system listens, interprets the option, and connects the call to the right extension.
Speech recognition is currently available in US English, UK English, French, German, and Spanish.
- Traffic law friendly
- Most states and countries have laws that prohibit the use of cell phones while driving unless the phone is a hands-free device.
PBX+ is completely speech driven, so there is no need to enter any touch tones. Your callers will be more inclined to call you when they're on the road, resulting in more sales.
- Day, night and weekday rules
- PBX+ can route calls differently based on whether a phone call comes in during the day or night, and even on different weekdays.
Our hosted PBX system can be set up to send your callers directly to voicemail on weekends.
- Holiday rules
- PBX+ can route calls based on configuration for holidays.
- Operator connect
- Direct your callers to your operator's extension if they don't respond to the auto attendant.
Forwarding options
PBX+ can forward calls to 40 different countries, Google Talk and Skype. You can even bring your own termination provider with you to PBX+. It can't get better than that!
- Call forwarding
- Forward all your incoming calls to mobile phones in select countries and landlines in 40 different countries around the globe.
- Skype as endpoint
- Using Skype as an endpoint to receive or forward your calls is now possible. A company of any size can use Skype to change the way it communicates, collaborates and competes.
Unlike other services, PBX+ directly integrates with your Skype account without requiring you to have your computer turned on. There's no hardware or software needed.
Use your existing Skype accounts for receiving and forwarding calls.
- Forward calls to third party
- At PBX+, we support call forwarding to many countries. However, if your requirements need you to terminate calls beyond the listed countries or if you have an existing relationship with your carrier, you can bring your own termination provider (Digital SIP) and use it to forward calls.
For example, you can use your Vonage Softphone account to forward calls with your PBX+ business phone system.
- Call hunt (find-me)
- The call hunt, or find-me, feature transfers your incoming calls to a specified 5 phone numbers.
A call is transferred simultaneously to all the numbers until it is answered by someone.
For example, specify your work, cell, and home phone. When a call comes in, PBX+ will ring all three numbers and will connect to the first phone that picks up the call.
- Follow-me
- Just as with the call hunt feature, incoming calls are forwarded to the designated list of numbers, but sequentially until the call is acknowledged.
Subsequent numbers will not be called unless the first person is busy answering other calls or otherwise unable to pick up the phone.
- Time-out
- Specify the length of timeout before PBX+ tries the next available number.
For example, setting a timeout of 40 seconds for follow-me will prompt PBX+ to try each number for 40 seconds before trying the next available number in the follow-me list. A call hunt (find-me) timeout of 40 seconds makes all specified phones stop ringing after 40 seconds if no one takes the call.
- Availability scheduling
- Forward calls to different numbers based on the time or day of the week.
- Screen calls
- The "Screen calls" option notifies you with caller details and gives you a choice to accept or reject the call. The notification you receive will be this: "You have a call from PBX+. Press any key to receive the call." If no action is taken, the call is disconnected with an unavailable status and the next action in the workflow is taken.
- Call whisper
- Call whisper prompts your callers to answer a question you specify before PBX+ connects them to you. The caller's answer will be played before you receive the call on your extension.
For example, call whisper might prompt a caller like this: "Please state your name and the reason for your call after the beep."
This option can be used to update your leads by asking for contact information.
- Live call transfer
- Need to transfer calls? PBX+ lets you transfer calls from one extension to another in the same extension tree by pressing * followed by the extension number.
For example, your operator or you can transfer a call to any of your employees by pressing * followed by the extension number. The call is transferred while the caller hears music on hold configured for that extension.
- Configurable caller id
- Caller id, or calling number identification, is the phone number to be displayed for outgoing calls. You can customize your caller id as you wish by configuring PBX+ to display the caller id as:
* Displays the Caller ID of the person who is calling. * Displays the Caller ID as Invox Company Number. * Displays the Caller ID as your Invox Number.
Fax
Old-fashioned faxing is a thing of the past! Receive faxes and even send them automatically using the power of your PBX+ business phone system.
- Fax in (e-Fax)
- Incoming faxes to your toll-free or local number along with details such as caller id, cover letter, and so on, will be sent to you by email attachment in pdf or tiff format.
The PBX+ fax in system is fully HIPAA compliant. Incoming fax files are available online for your future reference.
- Fax out/outbound fax
- Send e-faxes from your toll-free number by uploading the files from your PC to your PBX+ online account panel.
PBX+ will send you email updates on the status of each job.
- Fax on demand
- Send your brochures or product information by fax automatically when customers dial your toll-free number and select your desired extension.
If you have more than one brochure or document to be faxed back, you can prompt the caller to say (or enter through DTMF keytones) the brochure type. The system will fax the requested document back automatically.
PBX+ maintains an online log of phone numbers for you of all customers who request fax on demand.
Audio conferencing
Host a virtual meeting with people across town or around the world. PBX+ makes it happen with easy automatic invitations and an optional auto-dial feature.
- Audio conferencing
- Audio conferencing is a PBX+ service allowing multiple parties to speak with each other from different locations through landline or mobile phones.
Using PBX+, you can host a conference call of up to 5 participants at a time regardless of where your attendees are located.
- Invite attendees
- With a PBX+ account, it's easy to invite and host your clients, colleagues or friends in a live audio conference.
An audio conferencing invitation is formatted as a vCal file, compatible with almost all calendars including Outlook, PDA and iPhone. You can send it automatically from the control panel. The invitation contains information such as the host's name, number, purpose, conference duration, toll-free number and audio-conference extension.
- Automatically dial participants
- PBX+ can automatically dial participants at the start of the conference. This ensures that your participants do not miss the conference call.

- PBX+ automatically pushes information forward on the browser in a screen pop, which displays the caller id, toll-free/local number, extension and other relevant information as the call comes in.

- Browser dial(Firefox)
- Telephone numbers on the web page are automatically highlighted so that you can choose to call, fax, or access previous records.
